Company

ZORTH is a European engineering company founded in France, focused on continuous water diagnostics.

History & outlook

ZORTH is an engineering-driven company focused on the long-term problem of understanding what is present in water and fluid media, continuously and at scale.

The company was founded around a simple observation:
most critical information about water exists at the microscopic level, yet is still assessed through sporadic sampling and delayed analysis.

Microdeep was created to address this gap.

Origin

ZORTH emerged from work at the intersection of metrology, microfluidics, and imaging.
From the outset, the goal was not to build a laboratory instrument, but a system capable of operating where the water is, for extended periods, with minimal human intervention.

This approach shaped every design choice:
• preference for direct observation over proxy measurements
• emphasis on repeatability and continuity
• integration of analysis directly at the point of measurement

Microdeep is the result of this philosophy.

Engineering approach

ZORTH develops its products through incremental engineering rather than short product cycles.

Each generation of the Microdeep platform is informed by:
   • deployment feedback
   • operational constraints
   • real-world usage over time

This process favors robustness, comparability of data, and long-term usability over rapid feature turnover.

The platform is designed to evolve without breaking existing deployments or datasets.

Position

ZORTH does not position itself as an environmental advocacy organization.

Its role is more fundamental.

Decisions about water — whether regulatory, industrial, or environmental — are only as sound as the information on which they are based. In many contexts, the microscopic reality of water remains largely unseen, inferred indirectly, or observed too infrequently to capture meaningful dynamics.

ZORTH’s contribution is to make this reality observable, continuously and directly.

By enabling persistent, on-site measurement, the Microdeep platform shifts water monitoring from episodic assessment to long-term understanding. This change does not prescribe decisions, but it alters the conditions under which they are made.

In that sense, ZORTH’s impact lies in restoring visibility where it was previously absent, and in providing a factual basis on which responsibility, policy, and action can be grounded.

Outlook

ZORTH’s focus is on enabling persistent visibility into water systems.

As monitoring networks expand and regulatory expectations evolve, the value of continuous, traceable data increases.
Microdeep is positioned as an infrastructure component within this landscape — supporting pilots, long-term deployments, and distributed monitoring strategies.

Future developments are approached as extensions of the platform, guided by use cases and deployment experience rather than short-term trends.

Commitment

ZORTH works with organizations that require:
   • reliable measurement over time
   • clarity about what is measured and how
   • systems that can be integrated, maintained, and trusted

The company’s commitment is to deliver tools that remain relevant across years of operation, not just at the moment of installation.

Working with ZORTH

Engagements typically begin with discussion and evaluation, followed by pilot deployments when appropriate.
System configurations and deployment strategies are defined collaboratively to ensure alignment with operational realities.
